Ongoing Regional Stakeholder Consultative Meeting For The Review And Development Of The National Tourism Development Master Plan

The consultative regional workshops brings together key stakeholders, including the National Organization of Trade Unions (NOTU), to review and provide input into the development of Uganda's National Tourism Development Master Plan. Organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities with support from ITC ILO, the meetings are to  provide a platform for stakeholders to share their views and recommendations on strengthening tourism sector regulation, licensing, emerging tourism enterprises, and other policy and strategic priorities. The consultations aims to ensure an inclusive  representation and participatory process that reflects the interests of key stakeholders and aligns Uganda's tourism sector with current market trends, technological developments, and global best practices.

The first three workshops were held in Gulu (Northern Region),Arua (West Nile Region) and Mbale (Eastern Region) While The upcoming consultative meetings will be held in  Mbarara at Las Vegas Hotel on 17th-18th August 2026 and later on in Fort Portal at Breeze Hotel on 20th-21st August 2026.
