Bro. Bigirwa Richard serves as the Secretary General of the National Organisation of Trade Unions (NOTU), where he plays a central role in the administration, coordination, and strategic implementation of the organisation’s mandate. He is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring effective communication between the Executive Board, staff, and affiliate unions, and safeguarding institutional continuity.

In his role, Bro. Bigirwa Richard supports policy formulation, programme execution, and engagement with key stakeholders at national and international levels. He is committed to strengthening organisational governance, promoting transparency and accountability, and advancing workers’ rights through coordinated action, dialogue, and solidarity across the trade union movement in Uganda.
