Sis. Birungi Annet serves as the Secretary of the Women Committee at the National Organisation of Trade Unions (NOTU). In this role, she assists the Chairperson in coordinating programs and initiatives aimed at empowering women workers across Uganda. She ensures that the committee’s activities run smoothly and that women’s concerns are effectively communicated within the union’s structures.

She is actively involved in organizing workshops, training sessions, and advocacy campaigns that enhance women’s participation in the labor movement. Sis. Birungi Annet plays a key role in documenting the committee’s work, supporting policy development for women’s rights, and fostering collaboration with other union departments and external partners to promote equality, equity, and safe working conditions for women in all sectors.
