NOTU leadership workshop on Social Dialogue and Negotiation Skills under revised Labour Laws in Uganda, opens at Garuga Country Lake Resort.
Leaders are discussing the Enhancement of Trade union leadership strategies, examining the proposed amendments to the Labour Unions Act, Cap 228 and its implications for the trade union movement in Uganda.
The meeting is also discussing the Workers' Compensation  Act, Cap 223, its major reviews and its implications in the world of work. 
Leaders are also discussing Workers' elections at all levels. 
NOTU Chairman General Bro Musa Okello and Secretary General Bro Richard Bigirwa have castigated leaders for allowing non-unionised lot to infiltrate trade unions. 
Bro Robert  Wanzusi Matukhu has called for the liberation of workers from forces of oppression and exploitation.
Workers Members of Parliament present include Hon Margaret Rwabushaija, Hon Agnes Kunihira and CEC member Hon Arinaitwe Rwakajara.
