NOTU organised Women leaders' training workshop on Gender equality and inclusions and trade unionism. The workshop held on 20th July, 2026 at Hotel Africana was organized within the precincts of NOTU Strategic Plan and its Gender Equality and Inclusion Policy, 2026.

The workshop goal was to develop a cadre of transformed women leaders to act as change agents in workplaces and within their trade unions. The workshop enhanced women leaders understanding of trade union structures, collective bargaining, gender equality in workplace and strategies to overcome systemic barriers such as Gender based violence, gender-pay gaps, sexual harassment among others. 

The workshop  saw, the official launch of NOTU Gender Equality and Inclusion Policy, 2026 under the theme " Unlocking Women's Potential in Labour Movement for Decent work in Uganda" funded by FNV Mondiaal.
