NOTU team led by Secretary General, Richard Bigirwa met with H.E Malong Paul and his team at Embassy's Offices in Kampala on Tuesday, 07/July/2026.

The meeting provided opportunity for networking, collaboration and unpacking of the Memorandum of Understanding between NOTU and South Sudan Workers Trade Unions Federation (SSWTUF).

In the meeting it was agreed that the Embassy will support NOTU in awareness raising on labour laws, rights and standards in Uganda among South Sudanese workers, majorly in informal economy. In addition, the Embassy committed to share, and consult with its relevant counter-parts and agencies in South Sudan on issues of trade, decent work, Labour migration, unionism and MoU.
